We have had John and Evan do two jobs in our home at separate times.  We were so pleased with their professionalism, expertise, and excellent work that we did not hesitate to call him again for our second project.  The first job involved reweaving and restringing our natural straw blinds that had been custom made for us many years ago.  I did not think it possible to have the blinds restored so that they could be pulled up evenly, but the Made in the Shade workroom Made that possible.  The second time we used their services was in ordering 3 sets of blinds for the palladium windows in our main room.  The blinds were delivered in the promised amount of time and John and Evan   hung them with great care.  They look great! Made in the Shade is a family owned and run window treatment company. Our experience with John and Evan was beyond anything we could have imagined. They are, hands down, the nicest people you could ever meet.

From beginning to end there was not a moment of “sales” pressure. They were incredibly helpful guiding us through the many books of samples and explained such things as what we could expect as far as privacy and how the sun’s rays would appear through the shades. As time went by with our projects, we felt that we gained 2 new friends. It’s a little bittersweet that our projects are done because we will miss them.

What an incredible experience! I asked for a consult online and got an email reaching out to schedule an in-home consult within a day. I explained what I was looking for and was provided several options/links to product websites before they came out which made things incredibly easy for me to pick out. The resources provided to me allowed me to not only narrow down the type of shading I needed but also the color I wanted. The in-home consult just helped to confirm my choices. I went with a child safe motorized blind. The installation process was so easy and they took our old blinds away for free. Working with Evan was absolutely delightful, as he was kind and conversational. He did the installation so quickly and explained exactly how I could use the app and remote to control the blind settings. Extraordinary Customer Service!!!  At every single level. This was one of the top 3 experiences we have had in 30 years of home service. John & Evan are truly exceptional and were from the jump, responding to my initial query within Minutes. This is our third Made in the Shade purchase in as many states, (All Very positive) so the bar was set high. We had not quite 40 shades installed and these were a combination of Motorized, Smart Fit, Single Cell, Light Filtering & Faux Wood, all by Norman (brand)  I was floored by how exquisite the Faux Wood shades are and  equally impressed by John's knowledge as to Why we should Not purchase real wood. (My initial want)  #Integrity is Number One with this company and the Professionalism is off the charts. The install went incredibly smoothly and we are Thrilled with the results. Evan and John did an exceptional job on creating custom shutters for two very large and odd shaped windows that other companies said couldn't be done. I had some motorized shades that had stopped working, each for a different reason.  Evan diagnosed each problem quickly and addressed them efficiently, and refreshed all the battery powered units. We hired Made in the Shade to replace our bathroom blind which was a custom size.  Evan came out the next day when I called for an estimate.  He was very professional and pleasant to work with.  He brought several sample books for me to review which was great for me to hold up to my tile, etc. so I felt good about the selection I made.  The shade came in when I was told, and Evan came back out to install the new shade and remove the old shade.  It looks great! Made in the Shade of Northern Virginia is first class! They are beyond kind, helpful, patient, responsive and knowledgeable! I just had window treatments installed on all of my windows in my house. I had  a problem with a large shade that was in place when I moved into my home, John went beyond what I would have expected to give me options, and to solve the problem.
